Hi Tony, I just wanted to let you know how much fun I am having working out at your boot camp. Attending camp since July I lost 20lbs and gained strength to run a 17 min/mile. I feel great and more energetic. I learned to control the portion size of what I eat and exercise regularly.
I have also lost inches in my waist as i was a 44 inch waist NOW a 40 inch waist .
Also, Tony helped me stop my smoking habit along the way.
Thank you so much Tony for the help.
John
Over the past year, i have accomplished all of my short term weight loss goals. I joined camp with the goal of simply fitting into a bridesmaid dress and now over a year later, I have loss over 30 pounds and have increased my energy level. I have also ran a 5K, 8K, 10K races and have done a photo shoot and zip lining in an eco forest. I never thought I would ever do any of these things. I know Tony will have more in store for us so I am here for the ride.
Thanks
Tony, As you know that I am a Chicago police officer and you know my time limitations. But I will have to say, I have more energy and my stamina is better with all the interval running we do in camp.
I used to run 3 – 5 miles a day before camp but I was not reaching my results. I am happy to report, I am stronger and I recently past another officer’s testing for the CPD with flying colors. I was actually doing the men’s standard. As a camp, we have done trail races, which I enjoy. My personal best in a 5K is 31:23 and as we travel to Orlando In January of 2009, I will break the 30 minute barrier.
Boot Camp has provided the way to lost the unnecessary body fat and hit my weight loss goal of 8 pounds and i feel i’m running lighter and easier than before. Looking forward to the next coming months…
Before I met Tony, my definition of attempting to lose weight consisted solely of jumping on a few cardio machines at the health club and doing my Jane Fonda step aerobics routine. The key word here is routine which would always equate to boredom and then to giving up on my weight loss goals. I can rely on Tony’s creativity to prepare a variety of interesting and challenging workouts that will eliminate boredom and allow me to strengthen varies muscles instead of focusing only on a few. The long hours and demands of my job, as an accountant, would further deter me from accomplishing my fitness goals. During my busiest times I would turn to all the wrong foods as a means to combat stress and find happiness in a miserable world of work-work-and-more-work, where I would give 110% to my job and 0% to myself.
As a member of South Side Boot Camp I have lost 45 pounds. I would have never pictured myself running a 5K, climbing a mountain or zip-lining before joining. These are just some of the fun activities we have participated in as a group. I ran my first 5K in May 2008 during the Ridge Run. My second 5Kwas at the Race to the Taste (less than two months later) where I reduced my time by a whole six minutes. I am looking forward to the next 5K in Orlando in January 2009 when we run through Animal Kingdom for a gold Mickey Mouse medallion. Bring it on Mickey!
I still have the same demanding job, but the difference is that I am now able to better deal with stress. My personal fitness goals are also a priority to me, in addition to my job-related goals, which means I am a happier person now. Regardless of a person’s work schedule or other challenging demands, Tony will make you believe against all odds that “yes you can” achieve your weight loss goals, gain strength, have more energy and feel a sense of personal accomplishment. In a world full of so much negativity it is refreshing to start my day with such a positive individual as well as the support and companionship of everyone in the camp. We are all different shapes and sizes, but we are all working towards a common goal, and having fun in the process. Come join us and don’t miss out on this life-changing experience.
Kelly
